About Us

Our Story

Honestly, it all started when I was frustrated and needed to get some air because a client was really irritating me. So, I stepped away from the desk, went outside to our back yard where there were some vines, and just started walking around.

Next think I know, I looked around and said to myself: "Hey, I bet I can do something with all of these grapes!"

So, I though it might be a good way to draw closer to my children. Little did I know that 12 years later, here I am making up to 10 barrels a year, and now things are really starting to grow!

Our Land

This cluster was from our first Zinfandel harvest that won us our Gold and Double-Gold. In fact, that's not dew on the grapes, that's actually natural grape sugar!

Yes, almost all of our grapes are locally sourced, fair trade, and hand selected. We are looking for the highest quality, not the highest volume. This means that we source almost all of our grapes from within El Dorado County with only a few yields that are just out of town.

Our Wines

I'm happy to say that we have expanded from when we first made only 3 wines (Syrah, Zin, and Merlot). Now we have made Tempranillo, Petite Syrah, Mouvedre, Sauvignon Blanc, Barbara, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Moscato, and Malbec. This is not to mention all of the various blends and ports we continue to make, too.

We are also very pleased to say that all of our wine labels, all of them, are hand drawn by our daughter. She really does a lovely job and we are so grateful of what a beautiful job she does!
